A few weeks ago, I went to the Akron Art Museum with a friend and witnessed the exhibition “Jean-Pierre Gauthier: Machines at Play”. I’ve never been so thoroughly impressed and floored by an art exhibit. This particular piece was my favorite. As you walk around and through the piece, the different mechanisms react to you. As a whole, it also reacts differently to the number of people in the room at any given time and their movements. I returned on my lunch break a few days later because I wanted to get sound. Because the museum doesn’t allow photography, I had to keep the camera at my side as it recorded.
